The Guardian, painting print.

The Guardian depicts a beautiful Ruru or Morepork on a basket of apples and NZ native flowers.

About to leave out the open window into the full moon lit sky, grandmother Ruru is just checking in on the household, as the Guardian of the family she pays regular visits to make sure all is well. In addition to the apples the family have gathered white Puawananga flowers and pink Manuka and a few leaves of Matai, making a beautiful full basket. Guardian sees the family is flourishing and is pleased.

This painting done in 2025 is in water colour & gouache on paper, and is part of a series called 'Crowning Glory' with the key painting being of a Crown Lynn swan vase filled with NZ native flowers.

This print is on quality 200gsm Cotton Rag paper.
