My calling is to bring more beauty into the world.

Everything should bring you joy or function-sometimes both.

I like to create images that are both stylistic and realistic, to represent the essence of what I observe. I aim to create a form of visual meditation.

As subject matter for my art I like to focus on New Zealand flora and fauna. They have such an understated beauty often overlooked as the everyday and perhaps dismissed. I hope to help remedy that by bringing them and their lives into the spotlight.

For me to create authentic work it has to be grounded in my life and my world, my turangawaewae, this being New Zealand, Aotearoa. All my creativity springs from this source. Enjoy!
